Services we offer
  1. Landscape Design (see "The design process" for details):
    • A professionally rendered master plan (2D plan view; CAD)
    • A plant list that includes the latin binomial, common name, purchase size and quantity of each plant specified in the design
    • Construction specifications (written and/or graphic; as necessary)
    • Design fee is $75.00/hour (Note: A complete design package for an "average" residential landscape (.25 acres, 2,000 square foot home) typically costs ~ $ 2,000.)
  1. Landscape Construction and Installation - Our landscape construction program emphasizes the reuse and recycling of existing materials in the construction of an environmentally responsible landscape. We buy high quality materials from local vendors and strive to reduce the carbon footprint of the site.
    • Turf removal and conversion

    • Fences
    • Living fences
  1. Landscape Management - In our landscape management programs, we use no synthetic pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, and have minimal to no onsite fossil fuel use.
    • Mowing (reel or electric; 1000 square feet or less)
    • Pruning
    • Weed control
    • Fall cleanup
    • Some redesign of the landscape may be necessary.
  1. Project consultation

    • Written follow-up report (if needed)
    • Consultation fee is $65.00/hour. There is a one hour minimum and a three hour maximum. Outside of a ten mile radius, travel fees apply (see below).

Travel fees
We make every attempt to reduce the amount of travel necessary for each of our services i.e. we make our trips as efficient as possible. We do charge for travel to cover fuel and automobile maintenance. The charge is based on the current IRS mileage reimbursement rate (0.585 cents per mile). For our design services, the fee is assessed following the initial meeting. However, if you decide to contract our design services, the fee will be deducted from your final bill.
